1 Visual Merchandising/Activity Internship
Job Description
- Contribute to the content of the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions.
- Securing the use of the store layout to create a good product overview and strong visual impact that facilitates the buying process.
- Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
Requirement
- Education/experienced in visual merchandising, design or art.
- A deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home.
- Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad).
- Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Willing to work at Alam Sutera, Tangerang.
- Willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays when needed.
- Available for 6 months of internship duration.
2 Interior Design Internship
Job Description
- Contribute to the creation of a Showroom matrix that reflects a wide variety of styles, living situations and price levels to create a good tempo with distinct visual impressions.
- Contribute to the content of the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions.
- Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
Requirement
- Education/experienced in interior design and architecture.
- A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home.
- Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
- Good attention to details.
- Have a flexible and hands-on approach to responsibilities as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.
- Willing to work at Alam Sutera, Tangerang.
- Willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays when needed.

3 Graphic Communication Internship
Job Description
- Use graphic communication competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication by applying the principles of IKEA visual and verbal identity.
- Actively contribute to developing, and implementing store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience by using knowledge about life at home and shopping behavior in the local market.
- Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions.
Requirement
- An education/experience in graphic communication design, media and typography.
- Interested in people’s everyday life at home and furnishing products.
- Visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Good attention to details.
- Practical hands-on approach to work, experience in printing production will be an advantage.
- Willing to work at Alam Sutera, Tangerang.
- Willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays when needed.
